In the event advice from surveyors and lawyers at rent review, during the tenancy, and on expiry/renewal might be negligent, a claim for damages could be successful.
In outline, a person who brings a claim against an adviser must satisfy three points: (1) the adviser owed the person a legal duty to exercise care and skill; (2) the adviser breached that duty; and (3) the claimant has suffered loss or damage as a result of the breach.
Whether or not the surveyor or lawyer has accepted or admitted liability, I can advise and provide an expert surveyor’s report.
