Fees
and Charges
You
want to reduce costs, I want to help you so, naturally, I
ensure my fees and charges are reasonable.
For tenants, I charge £500 + 10% of the saving on the
proposal*,
subject to a maximum fee of
£1500.
For
landlords,
I charge £500 + 10% of the increase* on the passing
rent,
subject to a maximum fee of
£1500
* The saving or increase on the first year's rent only (or
average if any increase is stepped over the review
interval)
For all other instructions, I charge either a fixed fee, or
a minimum fee + a percentage, or an hourly rate, depending
on the type of work and the Client’s preferences.
Please
note:
◦ At rent review,
I do not charge an additional fee if the matter goes to
'arbitration' or independent expert.
◦ I rarely charge extra for travelling costs.
◦ Unless otherwise stated, I shall inspect the premises.
◦ To protect your interest, I serve all notices and
counter-notices.
◦ If the matter is referred to 'arbitration' or independent
expert, I handle all proceedings, including submissions.
◦ Where possible, I handle the entire matter, including
Memorandum, so it is not usually necessary for your
solicitors to be involved.
◦ I provide progress reports at intervals.
◦ My fee is payable on completion, but I may require part
in advance or interim payments at my discretion
◦ My fees and charges are subject to VAT at the prevailing
rate.
